Police question beret-wearing man after Madeleine McCann 'spotted' in central Sydney

Police in Australia have questioned a man after a he was spotted with a girl thought to be missing Madeleine McCann.
Officers in Sydney challenged the middle-aged man after a member of the public alerted them to a possible sighting of the four-year-old.
Staff working at a station stop in central Sydney followed the man for several minutes until police arrived on the scene.
He was wearing a black beret and carrying a little, blonde girl who bore a close resemblance to missing Maddie.
After a short chase, three police officers caught up with the man at a German bakery.
But police said the sighting turned out to be a false alarm.
"There was a possible sighting," a police spokeswoman said.
"It's been checked. The police obviously took it seriously enough to check."
A worldwide, nine-month search for the missing four-year-old was launched last year after she went missing in May while on a family holiday in Praia da Luz, Portugal.
The hunt has seen a number of false alarms, most notably the alleged sighting by a tourist of Madeleine in Morocco.
The report was supported by a blurred photograph, but eventually turned out to be a local girl on her mother's back.

The Daily Express/Sunday Express....daily Star/Star on Sunday..... have been forced to appologise to Kate and Gerry after going to the High Court,over the claims they printed in the aftermath of Madeleine going missing. The money they paid in damages has gone to the Find Madeleine appeal, that was set up after she went missing, the news said tonight. they said they would sue the newspapers for the terrible things that were being blamed on them......i hope this boosted the fund so that they can carry on the work of finding her.

The Daily Express today takes the unprecedented step of making a front-page apology to Kate and Gerry McCann.
We do so because we accept that a number of articles in the newspaper have suggested that the couple caused the death of their missing daughter Madeleine and then covered it up.
We acknowledge that there is no evidence whatsoever to support this theory and that Kate and Gerry are completely innocent of any involvement in their daughter's disappearance.
We trust that the suspicion that has clouded their lives for many months will soon be lifted.
As an expression of its regret, the Daily Express has now paid a very substantial sum into the Madeleine Fund and we promise to do all in our power to help efforts to find her.

Paulo Cristovao's novel 'The Star of Madeleine' claims the girl's body was dumped at sea
Madeleine McCann's body was dumped at sea, a former Portuguese police chief claims in a novel about the case.
In Paulo Cristovao's fictional account the little girl's disappearance is never solved.
But Kate and Gerry McCann's spokesman accused the ex-inspector - who never worked on the case - of trying to profit from the couple's misfortune, saying his claims were "hurtful and distressing".
Cristovao's novel, The Star Of Madeleine, follows two fictional police officers as they attempt to unravel the mystery.
They end their investigation staring out at the Atlantic Ocean and the case remains unsolved - an outcome the McCanns have described as their worst nightmare.
Cristovao has been a constant critic of the McCanns, and previously called for them to be arrested for leaving their children alone in their Algarve holiday apartment on the night Madeleine vanished in May last year.
At the novel's launch in Portugal, he made no apology for the anguish the story might cause, saying: "I am sure Madeleine's parents will not like the book."
Cristovao stopped short of accusing the couple, of Rothley, Leicestershire, saying: "In their shoes, I'd behave in exactly the same way as they did during the investigation.
"I would defend myself with all the weapons that I could use. The difference in this world is that some have more weapons than others."
But their spokesman, Clarence Mitchell, said: "It is a great pity that people still feel the need to profit out of Madeleine's disappearance.
"That is very distressing for Kate and Gerry.
"The efforts that people are putting into this kind of profiteering would be better spent helping the investigation to find Madeleine.
"If Mr Cristovao feels he has any information relevant to that search then we would ask him to help with that investigation.
"Beyond that we won't dignify these so-called books with a comment."
Cristovao said his book was "pro-Portugal" and it contains thinly veiled criticism of Britain's political involvement in the case.
In the novel the police officers face pressure from British diplomats as they try to unravel the mystery.
In reality, Portuguese police have criticised Gordon Brown's decision to raise the investigation in meetings with his Portuguese counterpart, and have hit out at political interference.
Cristovao worked for the Policia Judiciaria for several years, on cases including the hunt for missing nineyearold Joana Cipriano, who disappeared in 2004, from Figueira, just seven miles from Praia da Luz.
Her body has never been found. Her mother Leonor was later accused and convicted of her murder, but has since claimed that police beat her into making a confession.
Cristovao and three others have been accused of torturing her.
The disgraced former head of the Madeleine inquiry, Goncalo Amaral, has denied claims that he covered up the torture.
Cristovao, who left the force following the case, has also written about a book about it, called The Star Of Joana.
Mrs Cipriano, 36, and her brother Joao were jailed for 16 years for the murder but her lawyer hopes to overturn the conviction at the European Court of Human Rights.
There have been several books published in Portugal about Madeleine, who vanished days before her fourth birthday.
The majority have been critical of the McCanns' decision to leave their children alone in their holiday apartment while they dined with friends.

A ocorrência registou-se há precisamente uma semana, cerca das 15h30, quando a menor, nascida em Inglaterra, se encontrava a cerca de 200 metros de casa, vinda, a pé, de um supermercado situado nas proximidades.
Um carro encostou no lado esquerdo da rua, em contramão, e o seu único ocupante “estava com as calças em baixo e puxou a minha filha, por um braço, para o interior do jipe. Felizmente ela conseguiu escapar e correu desesperada para casa, em estado de choque”, relata o pai, de nacionalidade holandesa e residente há cerca de 20 anos na zona, que preferiu não se identificar.
Na ânsia de escapar, a jovem não fixou a matrícula da viatura mas reteve os traços fisionómicos do agressor. As autoridades estão a tratar do caso, não como uma tentativa de rapto mas como atentado ao pudor e exibicionismo sexual, embora o pai da menor não tenha dúvidas. “Pela descrição que a minha filha me fez, o homem queria puxá-la para dentro do carro. Se isso se tivesse concretizado, não sei o que aconteceria.”
Segundo fonte da GNR, decorrem diligências para localizar o homem, de acordo com as indicações fornecidas pela família, e também a viatura. Até ao momento esse esforço resultou infrutífero e as autoridades não têm nenhum suspeito.

O pai da jovem enviou um e-mail a vários amigos e conhecidos, com a descrição do criminoso e do veículo em que este se faz deslocar, pedindo que fotografassem carros eventualmente suspeitos e que o contactem de imediato. Passou também por cafés, postos de combustíveis e outros estabelecimentos, a fim de solicitar ajuda.
“Esteve aqui no sábado”, confirma Verónica Nascimento, funcionária num posto de combustíveis situado à entrada de Porches. “Como passam por aqui muitos carros, pediu-nos para estarmos atentos e o avisarmos, no caso de detectarmos alguma viatura ou algum homem com as características que nos descreveu.”
Num café vizinho foram vistos dois homens com traços semelhantes ao criminoso, poucas horas após a ocorrência, mas as autoridades ainda ali não se deslocaram. Também não passaram pelo posto de combustíveis nem pediram as imagens das câmaras de vigilância.

Hope you're well, quick note, someone brought up the Zinat photo again and the possibility that the two children in the photos are no the same. I know you mentioned that you have never been too sure about this. Well I have tried with every photo editing software I have (i've got a few- a bit of a passion of mine!) and I can't get a clear enough shot of the faces. I must say that I am completely unsure about it being Madeleine or not, but I can tell you that I have serious doubts as to whether it is the same woman. Facial characteristics don't add up, particularly her nose. I am doing a bit of digging on this family, I'm not saying it was Madeleine, but the efforts they've gone to, to prove it wasn't is a bit strange! Anyway in my digging I've found these photos. I couldn't find whether anyone had sent you this link before, if they have and you've seen it, sorry to take up your time, but if you haven't, I thought you might get a "feeling" as to whether they are being up front or not. i just wanted to see that i think the story's that are all coming out now seem to be on purpose.
I think the lawyer is a friend of the Portuguese police and he is only searching the reservoir for Madeleine's body to try convince people she is dead.
As all missing children are important then why is the lawyer spending his own money searching a reservoir for Madeleine when there has been many missing children from Portugal and he has not spent 1 penny on them.
I have heard the story's that the lawyer said he is basing his evidence that Madeleine is in the reservoir because he had a dream,first he said he had been told she was there by underworld criminals now he said it was because he had a dream,maybe he has been getting quizzed on who the supposed underworld criminals are.
I have a feeling that because they said the mud at the bottom of the reservoir is 4 feet deep,i think the PJ will plant a bit of clothing from Madeleine in the reservoir so that they can say that her body must of sunk but they found her clothing and make out she is there but will not be able to find her,well if they can find a white sock then if she was there then i think they would be able to find her.
The PJ seem to be trying very hard to manipulate our minds into thinking Madeleine is dead when we all know it is the PJ and Murat and malinka who is involved.
The other point about Murat finding a tracking device under his car,well i think that is just another distraction by the police,Who would put a such a device under his car,i mean the police are protecting Murat so it would not be them,and Metodo 3 would not risk something so silly as it is illegal and they would not risk there business.
I think it was all suppose to come out on purpose so the PJ can say well that proves Murat has been nowhere unusual,just like a staged set up.It will prob come out that the PJ admit it was them who put it there and they did it to prove that Murat is Innocent.
Oh and the idiot who is written the book about Madeleine,well has the PJ no shame,its as if they have no morals and heart.He is under investigation himself and he is making money out of an investigation,i thought this wasn't allowed.
Why cant the Mcanns try to sue this PJ for the book as is that not suggesting that they killed Madeleine just like the Sun Paper made out.
I have always believed you have been right with this case and i hope that the people from haunting evidence can make a difference as i believe in their gift as well.

RE: Morocco pictures
Just to remind everyone of a few things as you/we did a lot of posting on this subject when it first hit the papers..To recap I think you/we (readers) concluded that...
1. The 1st photo was either real / or "photoshopped" and the 2nd photo was 'staged' to look like the first picture (taken 1 month later).
An easy way to check this idea out, is to play the 'spot the difference' game.
1. detail of the hat (colours of pom poms on hat 1 vs and colour orders of the pom poms in hat 2!
2. Apron stripes on 'lady 1' is are different vs lady 2 i.e. wider vs thinner stripes!
NOte: This is traditional dress - so it means two entirely different Moroccan women (or less likely, the same woman) - happens to have two hats, two aprons and is walking down the same dirt track one month later?? Come on guys, there is something strange about this' set up'.
What is also suspect about the first photo does indeed look like MM, but an image of her when she was much younger.
Also, someone said something about her legs (in photo 1) can't be seen wrapped around waist or dangling down which validates the theory that the head was photoshoped on - possibly this person was carrying a baby on back but the head was replaced with an out of date photo of MM?
So in other words, the Morocco picture no 1 was probably photoshopped and set up to get everyone searching in morroco as a 'smoke screen' at the time when we were still looking for her.
The second photo was created to 'prove' it wasn't her after-all, but in effect neither picture is real.
Why the press were so manipulating makes one wonder who is powering this MM 'machine'. I guess just Murdoch (masonic) journalistic manipulation!!??
My reason for going over this is please, let us not waste time discussing what was obviously a distraction tactic..and refocus on what we DO have.
I want to remind everyone to ignore what the press say and if you are on brians site and respect him then really don't get distracted and perhaps focus more on the unsolved things within the dreams for this case by revisiting early pages of this case...?
My thoughts overall:
The fact that recent names of certain PJ that have come up are " luis "and "ricado" for instance seems to point towards your scary dd where you see this 'owl' type monster and written you say something like "luis, carlos ricardo, stop the pain..! "
Makes me wonder more and more about people extending from Admarli's buddies and this author of book (ex PJ Paulo Cristovao ) struck me yesterday because a few months back I had already discovered him when researching joana cipriano case after the RV's you did for her and had a feeling something was a bit odd about the fact he had written a 'novel' on the cipriano case??
I believe the real people involved are the PJ (covering up) particularly the four PJ that are standing trial for bad treatment of Leonore Cipriano. The church also for covering up because they know about this activity presumably - of child trafficking../abuse at very least. And dare i add that there is a possibility that the church (some members that is) are somehow involved more directly. Feels like a pact of silence has been made. That the undertones have for some reason turned political?
Funnily enough i think the public generally can feel that we are being hoodwinked and are suspicious because our gut says something is not quite natural about this case. That there has been some gagging orders from above, we know it, we feel it.
Want to point out that the journalist Vanessa... from daily mail UK newspaper, was the same journalist that dared to write the article about the casa pia scandal being the backcloth to this case... maybe she is equally 'onto something' by highlighting the Paulo Cristovao angle....??
Re: Murat- Now this is so story has become so "out of hand" i feel murat is between and hard rock and a place - and by proxy beomce canon fodder so to speak. Although your dd's point to him, as the source, other rv's indicate that he can't be a lone operator!? He would have been 'slung up' way more swiftly if he had been just that. The fact we have that early photograph of him joking about with a large crowd of PJ's - this clearly shows the PJ were his 'buddies'. Legally in spain one can be made an aguido, but one can also request to be made an aguido so we will never know who asked for his status. What we do know is this identity or rater status, immediately protects a person from being asked questions... a bit like i won't talk till i have a lawyer line...

So let us assume there was a 'client' who commissioned her abduction?
We presume Murat was in deep but I actually believe it works in same way that someone wants to score drugs. You want say x drug and you know someone who knows someone who can get it from someone who knows someone etc... you as the client have no idea what it took to get that drug..
Therefore we have to in fact work backwards for a minute to understand that quite possibly - murat was the last in the chain not the first... i.e someone wants a child - they find via via via this contact someone who can 'organise' the abduction. i.e. the client went to a professional, the professional may or may not know who is doing the job, all they care is that what they have ordered and paid for has achieved the 'goal'. In terms of the RV that said this had been done 39 times, i see this as a trading thing. i.e. there is someone who is good at abductions who has abducted children some 39 times for different clients with different needs. That could be a p-file, but equally it could be a wealthy childless couple, or a person wanting to 'blackmail' the parents. No one ever ask the client why they want this child, they just take the orders and recieve the cash for the job.
By saying this i say that murat had no idea who was on top of his 'pyramid' when he agreed to this. He presumed it was the typical p-file abduction but did not appreciate the political or high profile implications of this
Who is the end client?
Either the belgian ring (hope not) / or more likely someone in the political arena, i.e. it was political maneuver, engineered by someone who happens to also be a mason of some sort - this itself is not important - but given the matthew james references to 'chequer board' halls etc. i presume he means this person also just happens to be a freemason of some sort..and that being a member has enabled this 'client' to keep this secret...
i.e. by proxy, by being a kind of mason means one is able to operates above the law. This is fact whether we like it or not
To end on positive note - I strongly believe MM safe, unquestionably, she must be missing her parents but she is i believe alive...

When I first saw the photo I thought it looked like Madeleine, and I'm sure many people did...if it's proven it was Photoshop enhanced, and if a news agency like Express Newspapers or Exposay were lets say 'caught' doing this...then they might have gotten into trouble.
That's assuming that this report below is not true...I also realize that most likely this is not case related, but there is always a chance some detail could help.

Clara Torres, a tourist from Albacete, Spain, who took the picture published last night, said that she had thought immediately of the missing toddler. She told the Spanish radio station COPE last night: “As soon as I took the photo we were struck by the little girl, who was very blonde. Then yesterday [Monday] we heard on the news that there were various people who said they had seen Madeleine in Morocco. I ran to the computer, down-loaded the photos and started to amplify the photo, and when we saw it we realised yes, it could be her. It sent shivers down my spine.
“Although it’s not 100 per cent certain, there’s a strong possibility it could be Madeleine and if it is it could provide a twist to everything that has happened.”
She said she handed the photograph, for which she has not received any payment, into the British Embassy and spoke to the McCanns’ lawyers yesterday morning after deciding that Spanish authorities were taking too long to carry out tests on the picture.
Mr Mitchell said yesterday: “This picture was brought to the attention of the relevant authorities as soon as we received it. Kate and Gerry are naturally very keen for it it to be thoroughly investigated as quickly as possible.”
As for the rest...
I think that at least...Robert Murat, his girlfriend, Michaela, and his Russian friend, Sergei were involved in running adult websites that also featured child pornography...remember, in Sergei's home country, no laws govern this, and Russia is home to most of the worlds child pornography. I also think that this operation was small time compared to who Sergei was really connected too.
His Russian friend may have received phone call or email from this crime family or even from a W.S. or R.S. stating they wanted a child matching a specific description. W.S. and R.S. are most likely related, could be husband and wife, or even bother and sister...I do not know yet, or even if I will ever know. Sergei is most likely connected to the Russian Criminal Underworld, and has done all sorts of jobs for them...would not be surprised if he had several cameras and a hidden studio somewhere in PDL...could even be in the back of a video store.
And in any town where organized crime goes on, the police either know its going on and are trying to stop it...or they know it's going on and are looking the other way. Once legit authorities are involved with organized crime, they are basically powerless to control what the mob wants done. There are not too many ways out of this arrangement...so they played along with the search, taking reports that they threw away the next day, answered phone calls from potential witnesses...yet never acting on them...leaking all sorts of disinformation to the media...most of it contradictory...causing confusion and creditability issues of all parties. Yet the entire time publically stating the investigation was governed by their countries strict secrecy laws .
The PJ may have not initially knew that a child abduction was planned, but when they found out, there was nothing they could do but play cops and find a scapegoat for the crime...and it was not going to be the mob. Choosing the parents was the best thing to do, as blaming them would not hurt tourism...hunting for a kidnapper or pedophile on the loose would not be good for the town's economy.
They were most likely hoping they would torture Kate into a false confession...why not...they have done it before. Look at the way woman are treated in Portugal...what rights do they even have? Have you ever seen a woman member of the PJ? They can beat their wife's and children and get away with it...in some cases, it's expected. It's not just me saying this...they know, and so does our State Department. But they did not expect fight back...but she did...this alone to me proves she and her husband have nothing to do with Madeleine abduction...I can't even believe I have to still say this.
The PJ could have actually been mad at Murat and Sergei for not telling them first, they most likely knew about drug trafficking and child porn, but there is a chance they did not know what the orders from the top were...even if they did, I do not think they could have done anything about it. They sure looked mad when Sergei was talking to the media about his computer business...they silenced him quickly...did the same with the Father and Murat himself...he's been protected ever since they made him a 'suspect'. Murat's girlfriend's too was silenced after she spoke with the media on her whereabouts...not thinking the media would verify her statement. Several members of the Ocean Hotel Staff are also not talking anymore.
I do not think all members of the PJ know about this, if they did, someone would have talked by now. When the head investigator was supposedly fired and replaced...the replacement even stated that the investigation was a mess. This man might not have clue as to what happened...and still might not. What better a replacement to have...he can never accidently make a mistake and expose the truth...the mob is famous for techniques like this.
Back to what I think happened...
When the Russian friend, Sergei got the request from most likely a Russia contact, he called or emailed Murat and told him what the customer wanted...this call or email may have been sent to Murat's home in the UK...and a record could still exist. I also know several DD's relate to a laptop in PDL.
At this point Murat traveled to PDL Portugal, to canvas a Ocean Club Resort he knew well. I also think at this time he was suppose to get paid for his trip, but this did not happen...I'm not sure why. After several days of watching the McCann's activity patterns and getting to know the child's father at a tennis course #6...he took her from the families apartment.
I think he knew the door was unlocked, he knew the children would be asleep...and most important all...unattended. Madeleine was an easy target...I hate to say it, but the parents were at fault for this happening, but should not be judged until this mess is over. I'm really not sure if anyone saw him do this, and reports following could just be mistaken identity...anyone truly saw a young girl, matching Madeleine's description being, carried by a stranger right before Madeleine was declared missing at the same location, would not be able to remain silent...would you? I would fight to the death making people believe what I saw.
As soon as Robert got Madeline back to his mom's house he called his Russian and Murat's girlfriend prepared to take the child to Faro Airport (per dd's)...and as planned.
At this time I believe Michaela, was with Madeline in the basement area...which I have drawn several times...meanwhile Murat immediately went to the aid of the police and the search for Madeleine...this is where I believe he made a major mistake, at least for him.
If Robert would have stayed at home after the abduction, I do not think he would have been noticed at all...but he did not...he went right over to the hotel to help in a search that just started...which in itself poses even more questions. Murat made sure that he was seen....he even spoke with the media...and said some very strange things to reporters...making his actions look suspicious. Thus, making him a vulnerable accomplice that needed to be controlled by the other people.
Over the next couple of day I believe Murat's girlfriend was to take Madeleine to Fargo airport, Murat was already involved in helping his friends translate for the McCann's and it would look too suspicious if he were to just leave...at least that's what I think was going thru his mind. I think he was suppose to go, and him not going could have caused Michaela to not make the destination on time...I'm not exactly sure what happened, but I think she was scared and confused. I think several vehicles may have been involved during her trip, even a Taxi could have been used...her initial route was to Faro, but I think she saw something that scared her.
I do not think at the time anyone planning this expected such media attention...but I do believe the worlds reaction to what had happened helped in preventing her from getting Madeleine out of the country. I also believe that Michaela was so scared, she finally did the only thing she could do, take Madeline back to PDL...where I believe with the constant media exposure...she is still there today. This process could have taken days...I'm just not sure...but I do think she's lying about where and when she has been.
I cannot say for sure she is in the basement under Roberts mom's house, or even in a connected chamber next the the police impound storage. But I do believe she is somewhere around this area...I also cannot say for sure that she is alive...but from all I have personally done in this case, I have not felt death...it might be because I do not want too...but what I do know is that all structures in PDL need to be searched from top to bottom. This needs to be done by outside authorities. The town is not that large, and this is feasible operation...no area should be excluded. Just because local authorities say something has been checked, does not mean it's so...look at the PJ track record.
On last thing that has frustrated me since day one...look at the first DD...I was not watching the news in my sleep...the DD is too specific to mean anything else.
There is only one person in the case I and the rest of the world cares about...I even think the members of the media feel the same way...now if they can use their power to get this search done...that would be something people would really like to read about in the papers.
People can believe me or not...but this is what needs to happen...and I'm 100% certain that every stone should be turned...and I have been saying this for over 9 months.

Wellington police believe a young girl seen wandering the streets early this morning has returned home.
The pyjama-clad child was spotted about 4.30am by roading contractors at the corner of Wellington Road and Ruahine Street in Hataitai when the girl, aged about four, appeared on their work site.
The contractors tried to talk to her but said she left quickly, heading towards Constable Street.
Police said there had been no reports of a child missing from home by 9am and they would have expected to have heard by then if a child had been lost.

Its credibility is bolstered by three independent sightings of Madeleine in Morocco. It will now be analysed by experts from the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre, which has used state-of-the-art facial recognition computer software to study thousands of pictures sent in by holidaymakers in Praia da Luz.
• Who are the other people in the photograph?
The group appear to be itinerant Moroccans, led by a man pushing a wheelbarrow containing several suitcases. Behind him is a young woman with a suitcase on her back, a young girl and then a woman wearing a colourful hat and scarf, with a blonde girl on her back.
Two further women wearing headscarves follow. The blonde girl, with much paler skin, certainly appears out of place. But could such a group have been unnoticed in Praia da Luz and then had the cash to take her across borders to Morocco?
• Why has the photograph only just surfaced?
The picture was taken on 31 August by Spanish holidaymaker Clara Torres in Zinat near Tangiers after she spotted the blonde girl among the group and thought it was odd.
She only took it seriously after reading about other sightings in Morocco and contacted her local police force in Albacete near Valencia. The picture was sent to Interpol and to the McCanns' legal team, who are now studying it.
• Can this photograph be related to the other sightings in Morocco?
Apart from all being in the same country, the previous sightings took place in different parts of Morocco and much earlier on in the investigation.
A Spanish woman says she saw Madeleine holding the hand of a "Muslim womanî in Zaio in the north at the end of May. On 9 May, two independent witnesses say they saw Madeleine in Marrakech, much farther south, at a petrol station.
On that occasion Madeleine was seen with a blonde woman and a darkskinned man with black hair, apparently different fromthe people in today's photograph. If the sightings are connected it would add weight to the theory Madeleine was dumped by her original kidnappers because of the huge amount of publicity the case has attracted.
• What will police do now?

Car belonging to Madeleine case witness destroyed in blast

A CAR belonging to Russian computer expert Sergei Malinka, who has been questioned by police as part of the Madeleine McCann investigation, was destroyed in an explosion in the early hours of this morning (Thursday, March 20) in Praia da Luz.
The incident is said to have taken place at around 5am next to his apartment, where the word “fala” (talk) had been written on the pavement next to the car.
Witnesses told The Resident that two cars were involved in the blast and maintain that one belonged to Malinka.
Police first interviewed Malinka on May 16, 2007, around two weeks after Madeleine McCann went missing.
Police searched the home of the IT expert, who designed a website for Robert Murat and was seen talking to Murat several times in the days after Madeleine’s disappearance. He was adamant that he was interviewed as a witness, not a suspect.
He has lived in Praia da Luz for around seven years and has always maintained he had nothing to do with Madeleine’s disappearance.
He claims he only had a professional relationship with official suspect, Robert Murat, and he has never been named as an arguido.
The Judicial Police could not confirm this morning’s blast took place but witnesses in the area have told The Resident that two cars were involved. They have also said that one of the cars belonged to Malinka.
The Resident spoke to Robert Murat, who said that he had not been told about the incident but did confirm that Malinka drove a Silver Audi, similar to the car that was torched.
“I am in England now but I am surprised that no one in Praia da Luz phoned me to tell me about it”, he said.

A man who was questioned by police investigating Madeleine McCann's disappearance had his car set on fire yesterday and the word "speak" scrawled beside it.
Computer expert Sergey Malinka, 22, an associate of official suspect Robert Murat, woke up to discover the smouldering Audi A4 close to his flat in Praia da Luz, the Algarve resort where Madeleine went missing last May.
Sprayed in red paint on the pavement next to it was "fala" – Portuguese for "speak".
The Russian expat said yesterday: "Who the hell has written that? What exactly do they want me to say?
"They must be talking about Robert. There's nothing to say. I'm angry that someone would do this and I want to find out who it was."

Neighbours described hearing a bang like a "gunshot" at around 5am, apparently as the arsonist struck, although Mr Malinka slept through the commotion.
He was a business associate of Murat and was designing his website when Madeleine vanished shortly before her fourth birthday.

He was questioned as a witness after phone records showed that Murat phoned him at 11.40pm on the night she disappeared.
Police also seized computers from his apartment and discovered that he had wiped their hard disks.
He strenuously denies having anything to do with Madeleine's disappearance, and has claimed that he was beaten up by police during the interrogation to try to get him to admit involvement.
On Wednesday evening he parked his car about 40ft from his apartment. He said: "I went to bed and I switched my phone to silent. When I woke up I had 32 missed calls."
He added: "I'm not scared. It's just a car. It was a nice car, but at least I wasn't inside it.
"But I have no feelings about this. They ripped my heart out last summer when they involved me with all this."
Portuguese detectives and forensics experts spent the morning searching the remains of the car. Mr Malinka later met police to talk about the arson attack.
It is believed to be the third time a vehicle has mysteriously been set alight close to his house in the middle of the night, one of which was a van belonging to Mr Malinka.
Both the previous apparent arson attacks were before Madeleine's disappearance

Further to this DD please find a photo of 2 of the investigators arriving in Britain in November 2007 one is called Ricardo and another Luis have you ever seen either one of these in your dreams about the cops that are involved. Do you get a feeling about either of them

The team was led by Francisco Corte-Real, the vice-president of the National Pathology Institute. With him were Det Insp Ricardo Paiva and police scientists Fernando Viegas and Louis Viriato.
Also I sent this awhile ago when we were all discussing why they would catch a taxis and now after you hypothesis it could explain it - came across this paragraph on page 19 –
Walczuch has failed to reveal, however, where she was on May 5 and June 15, when two separate witnesses claim to have seen her with Madeleine.
Mr Murat's lawyer, Francisco Pagarete, claimed yesterday this was because her diary had been seized by the police some months ago and has not been returned.
He also revealed that Miss Walczuch's Skoda car was having a gearbox problem repaired on May 5, the day a lorry driver claims to have seen her in the town of Silves, 25 miles away.
Perhaps they were using her car and it broke down on him that is why they had to catch the taxis.
I know you don’t agree Brian and while I don’t think she looks like Kate there is a similarity in hair cut, slim and dark eye brows in the back of a taxis you could say they look similar – in regard to the Taxis driver saying that there was a woman similar to Kate in the Car.

I think your dd on page 5 might be related to Malinkas car being set on fire.
You said on your dd
" RM listen for him digging, drum skin, before fire starts, ready"
The other thing is the word which was sprayed in red paint beside Malinkas car which said FALA does not mean talk or speak which people have told you it means speech.
I know all 3 words seem similar but words that are similar does not mean they are the same thing and whoever did the spray paint meant something by the word speech.

Hello Janet, I have not received a reply back from any of my requests...for this case, #610 and my pending list.
I hope Madeleine is alive, and I personally have not had a dream that has stated otherwise. I will try again, but I'm still getting the same thing...so the answer to your question would be yes...but saying yes does not mean I'm 100% sure...the only thing I'm sure of is that a search needs to take place in PDL.

Kate and Gerry McCann have been warned not to go back to Portugal for the anniversary of Madeleine's disappearance.
Lawyers have told them that to return on May 3 may be risky as they remain official suspects over the four-year-old's disappearance.
There are fears it might provoke demands for them to be quizzed by police again. A friend of the couple admitted last night that their continuing "arguido" status had taken away the parents' "freedom of choice".
