Hi Brian,
I am just writing to say that I am glad that the McCann's investigators are looking into the investigation that we have been doing for 11 mths, even though some of the things may not be important I am sure that there are certain things that need to be looked at!
I mentioned to you the other day that I have been working in the background, and just letting you no that I have been sending them things that I think may be vital to the investigation, and every time I do I mention your website.
Brian, you do not give yourself enough 'CREDIT' what you are doing, and also allowing us to do through your website can only be a 'GOOD' thing, it gives us all a chance to throw things back and forward to each other. Through your website we have formed a 'TEAM INVESTIGATION' through people all over the world.
I beleive that the more people that work on this case, the better the chance is in helping Kate & Gerry and there family in finding there
'DAUGHTER MADELEINE'.
I also wanted to tell everyone that they are doing a fantastic job!!, and they should feel good about the fact that they are helping no matter how big all small.
I also wanted to say to (Paul in the UK) and others that have gone out themselves and physically checked areas, and everyone who spends hours 'GOOGLING ON THE NET', that we are all 'VERY APRRECIATIVE' of your efforts and also to the dedicated time that you have given in your lives to go out and help someone else who's lives have been ripped apart!
I also have to respond to a post recently that was put in regarding
'INCONSISTENCIES' in Gerry's statement that Madeleines sheets were off, and Kate's statement that the sheets were pulled up..
- I think that people sometimes have to stop and think before sending in posts against Madeleines parents, as I know there are reasons for things and I try to use LOGIC- the reason that the sheets were off in one check and pulled back up in the next is because I strongly beleive that when Gerry checked his daughter, the abductors, and yes I strongly feel that two of them were already in the room, had hid either behind the door or in the closet when they heard Gerry coming, they had already started to take her sheets off in order to lift her out of the bed, unfortuantly Gerry hadn't realised what was going on. By the time Kate had checked, Madeleine had already been abducted, it makes sense to me that with parents checking every half an hour you would then tuck the sheets back up so that if they glanced into the room it would look as if the child was in the bed still.
Being a parent though you naturally go in and check your child by site, I do this with mine, I cannot just stand at the door, I have to physically see them to be rest assured that they are there!! Remember these people wanted as much time to get away as possible....
The next thing that I have to say is that a DD that Brian drew with 'DOLPHIN' keeps getting mentioned- I beleive that what Brian drew is achually a 'DOLPHIN TORCH', we have alot of blackouts here and we have a torch with 'DOLPHIN' written on it and Brian has a line drawn from the word to an object that loos like a torch!
So can we please get of the dolphin track- as I do not beleive that this investigation has anything to do with dolphins!
EVER NOW AND THEN I HEAR THE STATEMENT 'WHY IS MADELEINE GETTING SO MUCH ATTENTION??' - THE REASON THAT MADELEINE IS GETTING SO MUCH ATTENTION IS BECAUSE OF HER 'LOVING PARENTS' -THEY HAVE PUT THEMSELVES OUT THERE FOR THE WORLD TO SEE, THEY HAVE CALLED APON AND CONTACTED ANYONE THAT THEY COULD IN ORDER TO HELP FIND THERE DAUGHTER!! EVEN WITH PEOPLE CRITICISING THEM THEY STILL GET UP EVERYDAY AND GO THROUGH THE PAINSTAKING AGONY OF TRYING ANYTHING TO FIND THE DAUGTHER!!
THAT IS WHY MADELEINE IS GETTING SO MUCH ATTENTION!
Also, regarding the latest 'SMEAR LEAK AGAINST KATE & GERRY' I just wanted to say this!

PORTUGAL. Police in Portugal have confirmed that they are following up leads from psychics as part of their investigation into the disappearance of four-year-old Madeleine McCann, who was snatched from her bed at the family’s holiday home four weeks ago.
Three British mediums, who claim to have had success at solving crimes psychically, have flown out to Portugal in the hope of providing clues that will lead to her return.
On the day after Madeleine’s parents met the Pope at the Vatican, news agencies and leading British national newspapers, including The Times and The Daily Telegraph, reported (31 May 2007) that the Policia Judiciara has two 8cm-thick dossiers of “apparent visions and sightings” of the missing girl.
Police spokesman Olegario Sousa said each clairvoyant claim was being taken seriously. Whatever the police may think privately about the value of paranormal assistance, the reality is that the kidnapper or kidnappers – for whatever reason – may also decide to give clues about her whereabouts under the guise of a psychic communication.
Many of the impressions sent by Portuguese and foreign “psychics” were too vague to be useful.
“Some of the information is about precise location or co-ordinates and that allows us to go to the place and we will check it,” the spokesman added. “Just a few days ago we got one address near Lagos [close to Malaga, Spain] but it didn’t amount to anything.
“In this case the amount of information we have received is huge,” he added. “Any information that comes to us, if there is enough to follow, we will check.”
Amanda Hart, Ben Murphy and Diane Lazarus have all flown to Portugal from the UK in the belief that, being close to where the abduction took place, they will obtain more accurate psychic impressions.
Their involvement, however, has lead sceptics to accuse them of being publicity seekers cashing in on the high profile crime and the McCanns' distress. But some reports suggest that all three have gone in response to requests from family members. Hart and Murphy have also declared that they are paying all their own expenses.
Hart and Murphy (right) also maintain on their website (in a posting dated 9 May) that, “Due to the sensitivity of this investigation, no details at present will be forthcoming until a successful conclusion has been obtained”.
This is, however, at odds with reports from their publicity agent, Kizzi Nkwocha, who announced their involvement to the media. She published (25 May) the following, extraordinarily detailed report she had received from Amanda Hart:
“Just to give you a further update on what I have been getting: Maddy has had her hair changed to look more like a young boy. There is a blonde woman and two men involved. There is a dog around them – like a rottweiler because of the teeth. Keep getting the guard dog coming up. It is used as a warning to alert people are approaching the property she’s at. There is arguing amongst the adults. There are lots of tears as emotions running high.
“I am getting strong confirmation constantly regarding a remote farmhouse which is on the side of a mountain. I see the mountains behind the house and then down in the distance is the coastline. The mountains may well be snow-capped in winter! I also have had information about a disused ‘mill’ which may be the same or another property! This mill has wooden slatted panelling running horizontally. I see it in white. One of these properties has a windmill connected with it.
“Am getting two locations now – Mombassa in Kenya (didn’t know Mombassa was in Kenya as got the names separately and found location on map) and either Amsterdam or Denmark. Mombassa is strong, so sense that is where this remote location is; however, information is coming to me to alert me to Denmark or Amsterdam being a link too.
“There are outbuildings on the property and a vast expanse of open land, wooded areas and the property is a distance to get to from a local community. This property may have some connection with Robert Murat’s property business or someone he has met through his property business [police say Murat is their chief suspect – Editor].
“Malinka [a Russian computer expert who has been interviewed by the police as a witness – Editor] has the connection with the organisation behind this abduction. The link to his business to do with hiring boats to North Africa is very strong. The area may well connect to a coastal resort which has palm tree type lined streets, rather wide compared to ours.
“Someone sees Maddy – a witness, but not sure it’s her as her hair is changed. A photograph with her hair in a ponytail would help to show her features without the distraction of the long blonde hair. The connection to the officials is still very strong and have had warnings that I must be careful with information I give.
“Last night I saw a young native man in Africa, in his 20s or early 30s, holding the hair of a younger man and I saw him hold a gun to his throat. He shot him at point blank range to warn the others as the young man had talked.
“When I get this information, I see an Internet link. This suggests the link again with a gang or racket which is why I am being cautious. I see these men living in an area where it is very hot and dusty, not a wealthy area by any means.”
The other British medium who has flown to Portugal to assist, Diane Lazarus, has posted nothing on her website about her involvement, but spoke freely to the Daily Star about her psychic impressions, in advance of making the trip.
She said Madeleine is alive, is not in Portugal and has been disguised as a boy.
She confided: “I don’t think Maddy is in Portugal and they have kept her moving around. But I hope going there will give me the leads to where she went from there. I have also picked up that they have cut Madeleine’s hair and made her look like a boy. There are a couple of people involved.”
The medium also declared that she has believed “from day one” that Robert Murat is innocent of the abduction.

Hi, thanks for this. One thing that does bother me is the secrecy many of these psychics keep. I do not claim to be one, nor am I gifted enough to do what they can while awake....but they need to share any information they have right away...not wait 11 months to say she is dead. I have literally begged dozes of popular psychics for assistance, including one mentioned in this article, to please give me any information they on this case. So far, none of them have even replied to my emails...Gale, a psychic in the US, contacted me about the similarity of my work and hers and asked if we could work together...and of course I said yes...but so far, she's the only one willing to make public what she sees...before the results are in. What what I'm learning, many of the career psychics out there only seem to want to share their information after the fact, and only if they were correct. This is of no use to me...we must work together sharing all we know...without the concern of being right or wrong, or what people might think of them.

Been looking through some of the Portuguese newspapers,The Resident and
the Algarve Observer, and found these pieces.In the first it states that sex
crimes against children are on the up in the country.The second is a worrying
account from a parent about "pervs" on the look out for children on the
beaches!! The third about the McCanns.....the fourth about Trafficked children
for sale, and lastly about Al Jazeera doing a documentary about Madeliene!!

Sex crimes
SEXUAL CRIMES against minors have tripled in Portugal between 2002 and 2007,
according to a report released on Friday, April 4, by the country’s Public
Prosecutor (PGR).
From a total of 1,400 cases registered every year, the report says that 3.6
per cent refer to children living in orphanages. Of these, the report also
highlights that the number of cases affecting children under five has been
rising year on year since 2003, totalling now 628 cases.
The report was ordered by Pinto Monteiro, who heads the public prosecution
office, and conducted by the Maria José Morgado, one of its main deputies.

Dear Editor: Child safety
Dear Editor,
We have been staying in the Algarve since the New Year, and spend a lot of
time on the beach at Galé.
We have noticed over the weeks a disturbing group of men wandering around
looking for women, to what I can only describe as “perving,” they find their
target and then peer out from behind the rocks or from the cliff paths.
This has been going on for many weeks but is getting worse as the weather
warms up and there are more people on the beaches.
What really brought it to our attention was the attraction to a young girl
of around 10 or 11 years old, who was playing on the beach, while her mother
was sunbathing.
With the unsolved disappearance of Madeline, are our children and
grandchildren safe on the beaches of the Algarve? Who knows what contacts these people
have, they seem to be very organised in their operations, alerting each other
via mobile phones, if they see something they think is worth looking at!
I feel very concerned about this, I am not a prude, but think it should be
stopped for the safety of us all, and our young : 10 April 2008

McCanns asked to return

PORTUGUESE POLICE investigators travelled to the UK on Monday, April 7, to
re-interview the seven friends who were with Gerry and Kate McCann on the
night Madeleine went missing from the family’s holiday apartment in Praia da Luz
on May 3.
After 344 days since the British toddler went missing, the new enquiries are
the PJ’s last effort to find new lines of investigation before the case is
filed.
Next August is the deadline for the Public Prosecutor leading the
investigation, judge José Magalhães de Menezes, to decide if there are grounds for a
trial or not.
Although the McCanns’ lawyers requested that more witnesses be interviewed
by the Portuguese investigators, including the present and past PRs of the
family, Clarence Mitchell and Justine McGuiness as well as Kate’s psychiatrist,
this week’s developments focused mainly on the friends of the family.
According to the Portuguese and British press, based on anonymous sources
related with the case, Jane Tanner and Russel O’Brien were the first to be
re-interviewed.
It was revealed that the PJ wanted to clarify some contradictions in the
couple’s previous testimonies, namely why Jane Tanner made different statements
about the man she said she saw carrying a child near the apartment close to
the time when Madeleine went missing.
Her testimony was initially crucial for the investigators to focus on the
kidnapping theory, but suffered changes as time passed and that was said to be
the main aspect that the PJ wants to confirm.
In Russel O’Brien’s testimony, it was revealed in newspapers that the PJ’s
team also wanted to clarify where he was during his long absences from the
dinner table while the group were dining at the Tapas restaurant, located
inside the premises of the Ocean Club. The PJ’s list for the new enquiries, which
are being supervised by the Leicestershire police, also includes Mathew and
Rachel Oldfield, David and Fiona Payne, and Diane Webster, who is Fiona’s
mother. All of them are friends of the McCanns.
Reconstruction
The investigators did not ask to interview Gerry and Kate McCann in this
move. However, according to their Portuguese lawyers, they were asked to
consider taking part in a reconstruction of the night of Madeleine’s disappearance.
Although nothing was confirmed by the time The Resident went to press,
reports in the media, quoting Clarence Mitchell, the family’s PR, confirmed they
were considering the PJ’s request.
Although much information has been leaked to the Portuguese and British
press, the details on these enquiries are being kept confidential and the
official information from the Portuguese PJ remains that “there is nothing new to
say on the Madeleine case”.
The PJ team of inspectors is expected to return to Portugal today (Friday).
The group is led by the Portimão co-ordinator Paulo Rebelo and includes
enquiry coordinator Paulo Jorge and Ricardo Paiva, who is the liaison officer who
also mediated between the PJ and the British police on the PJ’s previous
visit to the UK.
Yesterday, April 10, Gerry and Kate McCann were due to travel to Brussels to
meet with several representatives of the European Parliament who were to
present a draft declaration for a Europe-wide missing child alert, inspired by
the Amber Alert existing in the United States.

To start with, the feeling was a rather vague one, somewhere between
surprise and questioning. What exactly was going on? How strange, I kept repeating
to myself. But continual encounters with the factors that caused such a
reaction meant that I had to find out more about what was really going on.
What I was witnessing could certainly not be caused by some accident of
biology or sudden genetic transmutation, caused by a meteorite crashing, in a
land of volcanoes and earthquakes, whose effects might have caused children of
different ages (from newly born to others only a few years old), whose features
belonged distinctly to the local population, to be transported, fed and
cared for by couples whose language and physical appearance was unmistakably
American.
I was in the city of La Nueva Guatemala De La Asuncion, today the capital of
the country, a city founded in 1776 by Charles III of Bourbon, King of Spain.
And what was really going on? What was the reality underlying the fact that
one of the main hotels in the city was occupied by such a group of people? I
raised the matter with a number of people whom I ran into as I pursued the
main reason for my visit: taxi drivers, hotel staff, people with official
positions in the city, graduate employees, travel agency staff.
With slightly different emphases, more to do with the interpretation of the
facts rather that denying the existence of the situation, all admitted that
they were facing a serious problem, the consequence of a system of “simplified
adoption” carried out under the aegis of a law which has facilitated this to
such an extent that it has become something akin to a business (on average
between 10,000 and 15,000 dollars is paid per child), no matter how much the
operation is surrounded or justified by humanitarian ends.
The presence of couples taking Creole children for a walk in the hotel
indicated the waiting time that the obliging US Embassy was taking to issue a visa
for the next “pre-citizen”, given the volume of requests.
As can easily be understood, we can only see one side of the problem. Such
operations are today the product of agencies specialising in this business,
and what was happening in the hotel represented just a small part of the
problem in an underworld of society where there must be much more, and in worse
circumstances.
I was told that the authorities were concerned. It is well known in this
part of the world that such an attitude is of little use. What is a fact is that
pregnancies are already being commissioned and the donors are being chosen.
I failed to discover if medical exams are used to ensure the robustness of
the child.
Back here, I am wondering what could lead couples to procure children under
such conditions. There is something very artificial about the reactions and
the treatment I observe vis-à-vis the children of these improvised parents.
The comments I hear confirm this. What future is there for these children
once they have ceased to be something fashionable for some of their improvised
parents, a way of calming restless consciences, a way of overcoming physical
frustrations or frustrations with their lives.
The high birth rate and the extreme poverty of the country are well known.
The church is tenacious in its opposition to any reform that would allow the
use of contraceptives or information to be given about sexual education.
But even if all this is true, not everything is justified by hunger. What
sort of a world is this which creates such living conditions and such social
conscience that the “colour of money” allows the boundary of respect for the
most fundamental values

Al Jazeera visits Algarve Observer

A team from the well-known Arab television channel is making a documentary
about the media coverage of the Madeleine McCann case. The journalists have
been in Faro, at the Algarve Observer.
Sinead O’Shea and Scott Corben, from Al-Jazeera's London office, are in the
Algarve to make a documentary about an hour in length about the way in which
the media covered the “Maddie case”.
Journalist Sinead and cameraman Scott Corben arrived yesterday from Morocco
where they interviewed the family of the child who was confused with
Madeleine in Zinat, close to Tangiers in northern Morocco. Sinnead said that, even
today, the life of the family was nothing short of a nightmare.
She told the Algarve Observer that dozens of journalists had spoken to the
family and the child still wakes up at night, adding that the parents are
afraid she'll be abducted and they cannot live in peace.
Saying that Al-Jazeera, better known for being frequently quoted about Bin
Laden's statements, did not pay a lot of attention to the Maddie case, Sinnead
O’Shay said that their story was essentially focussing on the work of the
journalists themselves on this case, mainly the Portuguese and the British, and
the way in which they handled the police.
Explaining to the Arab world why this story became a matter of global
interest is another of the aims of the Irish journalist, who came to the Algarve to
interview a number of journalists (including Mário Lino, of the Algarve
Observer, Idálio Revez of Público and José Manuel Oliveira of the Diário de
Notícias) as well as the family of Robert Murat. The report is to be broadcast by
Al-Jazeera on 23rd April.
I have been keeping up with your posting on Maddie McCann and I can't stop thinking about this little girl, and I think it bothers me even more because I am a parent. I was wondering if you have any predictions on her. I know that you have been right on with many other missing person cases and I just can't let go of this little girl. If you have any idea what may possibly come of this case I would really appreciate knowing. I almost feel sick when I see new things in the "Daily Mail" news letters. That is how I usually keep up with what is going on with her case, then I'll read what you have put into her case on your dream site. I have heard that Maddie could have been found already too. Do you know if that is the case or not?
My heart goes out to Maddie in every way possible!

"R, his brother works for police too, Muller, black jacket"...this is all I saw, and I believe this person has knowledge to where Madeleine is. I believe he works for the local police department where she was taken, I also think that Madeleine is still in the area, but have not been able to prove this yet.

I was looking back at one of your postings from November and this one makes a lot of sense….. Has anyone looked into this? Just like the individual who made these comments, I also strongly believe this was an inside job and the staff at the Tapas bar new the McCanns' movements every night and could keep a watchful eye on them while the abduction took place.
Here is the post back from November:
Dear Brian,
I have always taken a huge interest in this particular story – probably because I have a young daughter of a similar age.
It has always appeared to me that whoever did take Madeleine McCann, would have either been someone either staying / working in the complex or someone using the help of an “inside man” – i.e. someone who knew the movements of the parents and would be able to keep the abductor informed of when the COAST WAS CLEAR. For this very reason I do understand why the PJ have scrutinized the “Tapas 9” in quite the manner they have.
However, what has seemed most flawed about this case is that the same scrutiny has never visited the staff in the same manner – as other guests would not have had the same access to the family’s movements as those waiting on them in the evenings.
Two different publications recently interviewed Jose Batista / Baptista (depending again on which publication you read). When I first saw the story what jumped out at me was just how similar he and his girlfriend / wife looked to the images which I had seen drawn by Carole Everett of two of the suspects (I have attached all these images in the attachement - please open this and take a look – I have given Jose slighter longer hair and drawn in a moustache but the resemblance is uncanny. Please can you copy them into your website).
However, this not the only interesting this about this couple:
Why would Jose Batista / Baptista wait six months to give an interview to the press? This is a man who observed and waited on the family every night over four days and who appears to have VERY strong feelings about the family. (I know that very often, no matter how improbable it may seem - many people involved in crimes have been known to surface in the media surrounding their crimes for a number of reasons sometimes self indulgent and other times because they think it shifts blame from them – or because they think they have gotten away with it and they are just adding extra weight to a theory which would keep blame from themselves).
In this interview he admits that in his very first statement to the police he informed them that he was convinced it was one of the family or friends – surely a normal person may “grow” to believe this theory but in the confusion of the aftermath of the event it would appear rather bizarre for someone to “jump” on this theory immediately. That is, of course, if you are not Portuguese and do not know that the police generally would suspect the family in cases like these / or if you wished to shift the focus of the investigation.
Batista / Baptista claims that NONE of the women ever checked the children apart from on that particular evening – he seems to have been aware of all the men’s movements over the four consecutive days and in order to be THAT observant of a table you are watering appears very suspicious to me.
Also, he claims to have been in the kitchen during the emergence of an abduction taking place – for a man who spent so much time scrutinizing the movements of this group I find this interesting, due to the fact that he would most likely have seen Kate leaving the table. So perhaps his trip into the restaurant had more to do with the fact that he was calling the abductor to confirm that they had carried out the act and that they had now very little time to get moving as far away as possible.
The woman in the picture, his supposed partner in one publication and wife in another , MARIA FERNANDEZ, is interesting to me too – SHE TOO WORKED AT THE OCEAN CLUB AND SAID OF MADELEINE “ SHE WAS LIKE A LITTLE ANGEL, VERY QUIET AND GOOD AS GOLD. JUS A LOVELY LITTLE BLONDE GIRL” and I read in another publication of how she had watched Madeleine assisting her parents with the twins at the breakfasts. ALSO, Maria from the neck down reminds me very much of Kate. (She has a very toned and slim figure like her – I still wonder whether the image released today of the “man” carrying the child away from the villa might not have been Maria in a wig and masculine clothing).
The first set of tracker dogs, just days after Madeleine was abducted tracked her scent to the local supermarket – which is either called BAPTISTA / BATISTA SUPERMARKET AND IT IS A FAMILY RUN BUSINESS.
If Jose Batista /Baptista is a member of the extended family – there is a very good chance that he would have known whether the CCTV was working in the supermarket.
If this Jose Batista/Baptista was the “LOOK OUT MAN” for the abductor - feeding information of when the scene would be clear it would mean that in all likelihood he did this by mobile – possibly not his own – perhaps even a pay-as-you go – but either way if there is any chance of detectives / police of looking further into this character or into mobile satellite imaging from the evening then I would strongly suggest it is done. (Ask questions like – Where do they live? Did other staff notice anything strange about Batista/Baptista or Maria Fernandez’s behavior that night? Did the family notice him/her taking a “special” interest in them? What is the relationship like between him and “Maria”? Have they any children? Have they any financial worries? ).
After watching the Dispatchers program I am more convinced than ever than no random person would have just “picked” that apartment and carried out this abduction “blind” – this had to be masterminded from someone inside the complex and I do not buy the theory that the family did it.
Whilst most child killings are family related – I don’t believe anyone would be audacious enough to give themselves a couple of hours in which to kill a child – have dinner – hide a body and call the police in a country where they had no idea of what kind of resources the police may arrive with – the staff and other guests are far more probable.
There still remains a chance that Madeleine may still be alive and that the perpetrator was not necessarily sexually motivated. There are childless women who may see a child who just “pulls at their heartstrings” – and the fact that there were twins and the family were leaving their children every night – might have felt that they were doing the best thing for her and that she would not be that missed as they would still get to keep the other two children who would be very bonded – whilst Madeleine would appear to be the one left out and needing special attention.
I AM CONVINCED THESE TWO PEOPLE ARE INVOLVED IN SOME WAY – THAT EITHER THEY / ONE OF THEM ASSISTED/ALTERTED THE ABDUCTOR TO MADELEINE AND THAT THEY KNOW WHO HAS HER OR ALTERNATIVELY I BELIEVE THAT THEY WANTED A CHILD AND THAT ONE OF THEIR OLDER RELATIVES WHO POSSIBLY LIVES NEARBY HAS HER.
Please also note in today’s press it is being reported that a bag found in a layby near Faro Airport two weeks ago, containing a pair of an adult’s jeans and fleece and a child’s t-shirt and pencil– has partial traces of Madeleine’s DNA. Depending on when it was dumped – it is around two weeks ago that this couple gave their report – perhaps they had just HANDED OVER Madeleine and felt they were finally in a “safe position” to talk to the press.
PLEASE, PLEASE look into this couple and any other staff working in the complex – it is more than plausible that this line of enquiry is the most obvious.
Someone out there must know more about this couple – please assist!

I also read a recent post, I believe by "Z" that stated that Malinka's mother works as a MAID at the hotel. Has this been confirmed? This is another possibility… I STRONGLY believe all the employees of the hotel at the time need to be THOROUGHLY investigated and by this I mean DNA has to be taken from their vehicles, homes and close family members' homes. Madeleine may very well be in one of these locations or may have been moved from one of these locations. THIS NEEDS TO BE DONE!!!!!!! I VERY STRONGLY BELIEVE THIS IS THE KEY TO FINDING HER….. I would first start by Batista and Fernandez and Malinka's mom, if it's a fact she's a maid in the resort. Please also bring this up to Madeleine's grandmother since she has contacted you.

Saw that you thought Madeleine's abductors may have read "Gone Baby Gone" - wondering if you are in fact, correct after watching it last night. Ironically, some medium apparently says that she died in an accident, much like the movie was made to look. And then in the movie, she is indeed found safe. The movie was insanely similar and even moreso, made me think that she was not taken so someone could hurt her, possibly quite the opposite. I also agree with you - Portugal should be searched, as is done in the U.S. But no one there seems to think so?

these are the British members of the 'wonderland club' who were convicted in 1998 - the worst offender who raped and tortured several children only got 10 years!! which means they are to be freed this year....2008. Brian surely something can be done about people like this, apparently they are not 'rehab-able' so why are they let out of institutions at all? Can't we as the public community do something about them?

PORTUGAL. Police in Portugal have confirmed that they are following up leads from psychics as part of their investigation into the disappearance of four-year-old Madeleine McCann, who was snatched from her bed at the family’s holiday home four weeks ago.
Three British mediums, who claim to have had success at solving crimes psychically, have flown out to Portugal in the hope of providing clues that will lead to her return.
On the day after Madeleine’s parents met the Pope at the Vatican, news agencies and leading British national newspapers, including The Times and The Daily Telegraph, reported (31 May 2007) that the Policia Judiciara has two 8cm-thick dossiers of “apparent visions and sightings” of the missing girl.
Police spokesman Olegario Sousa said each clairvoyant claim was being taken seriously. Whatever the police may think privately about the value of paranormal assistance, the reality is that the kidnapper or kidnappers – for whatever reason – may also decide to give clues about her whereabouts under the guise of a psychic communication.
Many of the impressions sent by Portuguese and foreign “psychics” were too vague to be useful.
“Some of the information is about precise location or co-ordinates and that allows us to go to the place and we will check it,” the spokesman added. “Just a few days ago we got one address near Lagos [close to Malaga, Spain] but it didn’t amount to anything.
“In this case the amount of information we have received is huge,” he added. “Any information that comes to us, if there is enough to follow, we will check.”
Amanda Hart, Ben Murphy and Diane Lazarus have all flown to Portugal from the UK in the belief that, being close to where the abduction took place, they will obtain more accurate psychic impressions.
Their involvement, however, has lead sceptics to accuse them of being publicity seekers cashing in on the high profile crime and the McCanns' distress. But some reports suggest that all three have gone in response to requests from family members. Hart and Murphy have also declared that they are paying all their own expenses.
Hart and Murphy (right) also maintain on their website (in a posting dated 9 May) that, “Due to the sensitivity of this investigation, no details at present will be forthcoming until a successful conclusion has been obtained”.
This is, however, at odds with reports from their publicity agent, Kizzi Nkwocha, who announced their involvement to the media. She published (25 May) the following, extraordinarily detailed report she had received from Amanda Hart:
“Just to give you a further update on what I have been getting: Maddy has had her hair changed to look more like a young boy. There is a blonde woman and two men involved. There is a dog around them – like a rottweiler because of the teeth. Keep getting the guard dog coming up. It is used as a warning to alert people are approaching the property she’s at. There is arguing amongst the adults. There are lots of tears as emotions running high.
“I am getting strong confirmation constantly regarding a remote farmhouse which is on the side of a mountain. I see the mountains behind the house and then down in the distance is the coastline. The mountains may well be snow-capped in winter! I also have had information about a disused ‘mill’ which may be the same or another property! This mill has wooden slatted panelling running horizontally. I see it in white. One of these properties has a windmill connected with it.
“Am getting two locations now – Mombassa in Kenya (didn’t know Mombassa was in Kenya as got the names separately and found location on map) and either Amsterdam or Denmark. Mombassa is strong, so sense that is where this remote location is; however, information is coming to me to alert me to Denmark or Amsterdam being a link too.
“There are outbuildings on the property and a vast expanse of open land, wooded areas and the property is a distance to get to from a local community. This property may have some connection with Robert Murat’s property business or someone he has met through his property business [police say Murat is their chief suspect – Editor].
“Malinka [a Russian computer expert who has been interviewed by the police as a witness – Editor] has the connection with the organisation behind this abduction. The link to his business to do with hiring boats to North Africa is very strong. The area may well connect to a coastal resort which has palm tree type lined streets, rather wide compared to ours.
“Someone sees Maddy – a witness, but not sure it’s her as her hair is changed. A photograph with her hair in a ponytail would help to show her features without the distraction of the long blonde hair. The connection to the officials is still very strong and have had warnings that I must be careful with information I give.
“Last night I saw a young native man in Africa, in his 20s or early 30s, holding the hair of a younger man and I saw him hold a gun to his throat. He shot him at point blank range to warn the others as the young man had talked.
“When I get this information, I see an Internet link. This suggests the link again with a gang or racket which is why I am being cautious. I see these men living in an area where it is very hot and dusty, not a wealthy area by any means.”
The other British medium who has flown to Portugal to assist, Diane Lazarus, has posted nothing on her website about her involvement, but spoke freely to the Daily Star about her psychic impressions, in advance of making the trip.
She said Madeleine is alive, is not in Portugal and has been disguised as a boy.
She confided: “I don’t think Maddy is in Portugal and they have kept her moving around. But I hope going there will give me the leads to where she went from there. I have also picked up that they have cut Madeleine’s hair and made her look like a boy. There are a couple of people involved.”
The medium also declared that she has believed “from day one” that Robert Murat is innocent of the abduction.

In an exclusive interview mum-of-two Diane from Crosshands, South Wales, told The Sun online:
- Maddie was targeted after being secretly watched by her abductors, including one woman
- She is in Spain after travelling by car on main roads from Portugal and is being well looked after

Diane said: “I need to start from the beginning and be where it all happened.
“Quite honestly I don’t think Madeleine has come to any harm. She will be returned to her mummy and daddy.
“I feel there are a few people, including a woman, involved in the disappearance.
“They went out of their way to get a girl of a certain age. They also knew Madeleine had a brother and sister, Sean and Amelie.
“They felt as the McCanns have two other children taking Maddie wouldn't be quite so bad.
“I don’t think the culprits are British. I thought the prime suspect Robert Murat was innocent from day one.
“I can sense this involves some foreign blood.”
Diane will spend four days on the Algarve after being invited by a close friend of Gerry and Kate McCann, both 38.
'Hundreds of people have contacted me to see if I could help.
“I will have to be careful not to ruffle feathers with the Portugese police because I don’t know how they feel about psychics.
“I’ll be very mindful of the McCanns too. They’ve prayed a lot for Madeleine's return which is great.
“Prayer really does work. Everyone should say a prayer for Maddie’s safe return.”

Been looking through some of the Portuguese newspapers,The Resident and the Algarve Observer, and found these pieces.In the first it states that sex crimes against children are on the up in the country.The second is a worrying account from a parent about "pervs" on the look out for children on the beaches!! Sex crimes
SEXUAL CRIMES against minors have tripled in Portugal between 2002 and 2007, according to a report released on Friday, April 4, by the country’s Public Prosecutor (PGR).
From a total of 1,400 cases registered every year, the report says that 3.6 per cent refer to children living in orphanages. Of these, the report also highlights that the number of cases affecting children under five has been rising year on year since 2003, totalling now 628 cases.
The report was ordered by Pinto Monteiro, who heads the public prosecution office, and conducted by the Maria José Morgado, one of its main deputies.

Dear Editor: Child safety
Dear Editor,
We have been staying in the Algarve since the New Year, and spend a lot of time on the beach at Galé.
We have noticed over the weeks a disturbing group of men wandering around looking for women, to what I can only describe as “perving,” they find their target and then peer out from behind the rocks or from the cliff paths.
This has been going on for many weeks but is getting worse as the weather warms up and there are more people on the beaches.
What really brought it to our attention was the attraction to a young girl of around 10 or 11 years old, who was playing on the beach, while her mother was sunbathing.
With the unsolved disappearance of Madeline, are our children and grandchildren safe on the beaches of the Algarve? Who knows what contacts these people have, they seem to be very organised in their operations, alerting each other via mobile phones, if they see something they think is worth looking at!
I feel very concerned about this, I am not a prude, but think it should be stopped for the safety of us all, and our young : 10 April 2008

PORTUGUESE POLICE investigators travelled to the UK on Monday, April 7, to re-interview the seven friends who were with Gerry and Kate McCann on the night Madeleine went missing from the family’s holiday apartment in Praia da Luz on May 3.
After 344 days since the British toddler went missing, the new enquiries are the PJ’s last effort to find new lines of investigation before the case is filed.
Next August is the deadline for the Public Prosecutor leading the investigation, judge José Magalhães de Menezes, to decide if there are grounds for a trial or not.
Although the McCanns’ lawyers requested that more witnesses be interviewed by the Portuguese investigators, including the present and past PRs of the family, Clarence Mitchell and Justine McGuiness as well as Kate’s psychiatrist, this week’s developments focused mainly on the friends of the family.
According to the Portuguese and British press, based on anonymous sources related with the case, Jane Tanner and Russel O’Brien were the first to be re-interviewed.
It was revealed that the PJ wanted to clarify some contradictions in the couple’s previous testimonies, namely why Jane Tanner made different statements about the man she said she saw carrying a child near the apartment close to the time when Madeleine went missing.
Her testimony was initially crucial for the investigators to focus on the kidnapping theory, but suffered changes as time passed and that was said to be the main aspect that the PJ wants to confirm.
In Russel O’Brien’s testimony, it was revealed in newspapers that the PJ’s team also wanted to clarify where he was during his long absences from the dinner table while the group were dining at the Tapas restaurant, located inside the premises of the Ocean Club. The PJ’s list for the new enquiries, which are being supervised by the Leicestershire police, also includes Mathew and Rachel Oldfield, David and Fiona Payne, and Diane Webster, who is Fiona’s mother. All of them are friends of the McCanns.
Reconstruction
The investigators did not ask to interview Gerry and Kate McCann in this move. However, according to their Portuguese lawyers, they were asked to consider taking part in a reconstruction of the night of Madeleine’s disappearance. Although nothing was confirmed by the time The Resident went to press, reports in the media, quoting Clarence Mitchell, the family’s PR, confirmed they were considering the PJ’s request.
Although much information has been leaked to the Portuguese and British press, the details on these enquiries are being kept confidential and the official information from the Portuguese PJ remains that “there is nothing new to say on the Madeleine case”.
The PJ team of inspectors is expected to return to Portugal today (Friday). The group is led by the Portimão co-ordinator Paulo Rebelo and includes enquiry coordinator Paulo Jorge and Ricardo Paiva, who is the liaison officer who also mediated between the PJ and the British police on the PJ’s previous visit to the UK.
Yesterday, April 10, Gerry and Kate McCann were due to travel to Brussels to meet with several representatives of the European Parliament who were to present a draft declaration for a Europe-wide missing child alert, inspired by the Amber Alert existing in the United States.

To start with, the feeling was a rather vague one, somewhere between surprise and questioning. What exactly was going on? How strange, I kept repeating to myself. But continual encounters with the factors that caused such a reaction meant that I had to find out more about what was really going on.
What I was witnessing could certainly not be caused by some accident of biology or sudden genetic transmutation, caused by a meteorite crashing, in a land of volcanoes and earthquakes, whose effects might have caused children of different ages (from newly born to others only a few years old), whose features belonged distinctly to the local population, to be transported, fed and cared for by couples whose language and physical appearance was unmistakably American.
I was in the city of La Nueva Guatemala De La Asuncion, today the capital of the country, a city founded in 1776 by Charles III of Bourbon, King of Spain.
And what was really going on? What was the reality underlying the fact that one of the main hotels in the city was occupied by such a group of people? I raised the matter with a number of people whom I ran into as I pursued the main reason for my visit: taxi drivers, hotel staff, people with official positions in the city, graduate employees, travel agency staff.
With slightly different emphases, more to do with the interpretation of the facts rather that denying the existence of the situation, all admitted that they were facing a serious problem, the consequence of a system of “simplified adoption” carried out under the aegis of a law which has facilitated this to such an extent that it has become something akin to a business (on average between 10,000 and 15,000 dollars is paid per child), no matter how much the operation is surrounded or justified by humanitarian ends.
The presence of couples taking Creole children for a walk in the hotel indicated the waiting time that the obliging US Embassy was taking to issue a visa for the next “pre-citizen”, given the volume of requests.
As can easily be understood, we can only see one side of the problem. Such operations are today the product of agencies specialising in this business, and what was happening in the hotel represented just a small part of the problem in an underworld of society where there must be much more, and in worse circumstances.
I was told that the authorities were concerned. It is well known in this part of the world that such an attitude is of little use. What is a fact is that pregnancies are already being commissioned and the donors are being chosen. I failed to discover if medical exams are used to ensure the robustness of the child.
Back here, I am wondering what could lead couples to procure children under such conditions. There is something very artificial about the reactions and the treatment I observe vis-à-vis the children of these improvised parents.
The comments I hear confirm this. What future is there for these children once they have ceased to be something fashionable for some of their improvised parents, a way of calming restless consciences, a way of overcoming physical frustrations or frustrations with their lives.
The high birth rate and the extreme poverty of the country are well known. The church is tenacious in its opposition to any reform that would allow the use of contraceptives or information to be given about sexual education.
But even if all this is true, not everything is justified by hunger. What sort of a world is this which creates such living conditions and such social conscience that the “colour of money” allows the boundary of respect for the most fundamental values

Al Jazeera visits Algarve Observer

A team from the well-known Arab television channel is making a documentary about the media coverage of the Madeleine McCann case. The journalists have been in Faro, at the Algarve Observer.
Sinead O’Shea and Scott Corben, from Al-Jazeera's London office, are in the Algarve to make a documentary about an hour in length about the way in which the media covered the “Maddie case”.
Journalist Sinead and cameraman Scott Corben arrived yesterday from Morocco where they interviewed the family of the child who was confused with Madeleine in Zinat, close to Tangiers in northern Morocco. Sinnead said that, even today, the life of the family was nothing short of a nightmare.
She told the Algarve Observer that dozens of journalists had spoken to the family and the child still wakes up at night, adding that the parents are afraid she'll be abducted and they cannot live in peace.
Saying that Al-Jazeera, better known for being frequently quoted about Bin Laden's statements, did not pay a lot of attention to the Maddie case, Sinnead O’Shay said that their story was essentially focussing on the work of the journalists themselves on this case, mainly the Portuguese and the British, and the way in which they handled the police.
Explaining to the Arab world why this story became a matter of global interest is another of the aims of the Irish journalist, who came to the Algarve to interview a number of journalists (including Mário Lino, of the Algarve Observer, Idálio Revez of Público and José Manuel Oliveira of the Diário de Notícias) as well as the family of Robert Murat. The report is to be broadcast by Al-Jazeera on 23rd April.

Is it just merely coincidence, or is there more to it than that ?
I am still trying my best into digging up some truth in all of the above! And also will be going to the records office to see if there is a connection in their family tree.
Also will be going to Sidmouth where Robert Murat has a property and under renovation, also later I will go to Exeter for more research.
I have had no luck on the language centre's but still doing more research.
Another line of thought is that the basement that Brian keeps drawing, could also be an old 'Air-raid shelter' - Similar to what they built in the second world war.
This would account for the entrance to being so low down at ground level. Its just a thought!!

Perhaps the first B relates to a town over here where she will be found ?

THIE IS A VERY IMPORTANT DD MATCHING ...
I just came across this on page 1 and also on another blogger site spotted same thing. So this is the basement we need to be searching... and connecting with Murat..?

Did you realise that you drew this building twice in separate dd's??!!!!!!!
One which I sent to you yesterday was a dd of the roof top detail and now this much earler dd shows the full facade shows the zig zag detail again and the same roof top as well as highlighting the fact that the ground floor of the appartments are effectively on the 1st floor, that the steps take it down one more level, and that a pools
Now if you can double click and enlarge the new (full facade) photograph of the SAME building that I found in previous posting yesterday, you can see more clearly that the zig zag detail on facade is there, just above the apartment.
According to your dreams, you said that below this building is a cellar that connects through hole in wall to a drug impound area. Well that is what I understood. You say that Murat found it and I sent you a post about this saying perhaps Murat came accross it through his real estate business.
The fact you drew it twice seems important ?
I knew i had seen this shot before so went back to page one and here you agreed with the following person that it resembled the same. I am now trying to make the point that the second dd with the hole in wall is the SAME building again.

Hi, it does look like the same building...from what Gale and I discussed last night, Madeleine is located underground in some sort of tunnel system. These tunnels connect to various parts of the town including a police station and RM (Robert Murats moms house). The PJ are still now allowing these areas to be searched.

I am so pleased that you have Gale St John working on the case with you, I have seen some of her work and she is truly brilliant.
It is very interesting that some of what she says is strikingly similar to the man seen knocking on doors asking for money for an orphanage in nearby Espiche
I did also notice that she talked about her suspect selling cars as a front and also drew the airport, when googling I found this site which actually only rents out cars but what struck me on a few car rental sites is this blue car you will see on the front page - seems very popular and looks very like the one Gale drew. This site in particular is based at the Faro Airport.

I suppose if one could imagine that this character worked in car rentals there is always a possibility that DNA found relating to the McCann’s vehicle could very easily have been planted – especially if one of the them worked in the car industry and the other in the police. (I am sure that if there is any gravitas to this theory – then both the car rental they used should be looked into and why they used that particular one should be looked into. Also, I know that the McCann’s watched the video of the police dogs going over their car and I remember them noting that the police seemed to “guide” them to particular areas of the car – it would be good to see if any policeman in particular seemed to “know” where the DNA would be).
SF is also very interesting in that whilst a name like Fernandez etc is fairly common I am not sure that S apart from Santiago is that common as the first initial in Portuguese Christian names.
Whilst the information mentions a church and a tunnel and a house with a cop etc., it is always difficult to be precise when looking to narrow down possibilities and it could just lead to a huge “online” search that might be more confusing than helpful.
It would seem to me that the most accurate information would be best gathered by concentrating on the profile of this S.F. – if he is indeed the same man who was seen knocking on doors, then it would be a very good idea for Gale to take a look at the e-fit that was drawn in connection with this man.
I am sure that if she can make a more detailed profile on this man that someone in Portugal will recognize him. It would also be very interesting to see if Gale has any feelings about this e-ft and whether it seems accurate to what she feels – perhaps if not she can make amendments to it. (I have a feeling that the two men may be the same but that he may have altered his image and dress etc. whilst going around knocking on doors).
She mentions a “mole” so perhaps if we could narrow down information on this S.F. character all connections with him to anyone living or working in Praia da Luz can be assessed.
I really do believe that if anyone has the ability to solve this crime it would be Gale and I urge her to please give us a little more of her time.

Hi Mary, we discussed the sketch below and she said he looks nothing like the sketch below. We both agree that Madeleine is still in PDL and most likely in some sort of underground room. It's also very important that someone be allowed to search the area. I'm in contact with Gale a few hours everyday now, we are also going to be working on a new TV pilot about missing persons. We also have 20 cases, in addition to what's listed on my site, that we are actively working on. She has her own search team and dogs that are used to investigate what we come up with...this way we do not have to beg local authorities for assistance. The only major issue is location and funding the searches, so right now we are concentration on area's where it's possible for one of us to drive to without spending too much money on gas.

I've pretty much been at the edge of my seat, waiting to see Gale's predictions Very, very similar to yours… truly amazing… When she states, "man knocked on the door… she opened". Who is she? Just some woman or Madeleine? Does she sense Madeleine is well? Has she commented on this?
I have a confession to make… I never believed in any of this before becoming familiar with your site and I commend you. You truly have a gift and I can see now that it's a fact that some people in this world have been given this gift….
This case has really changed my life and there's nothing I desire more than seeing Madeleine back safe and sound with her family. I have a feeling this will be soon and I pray daily for that little angel… I truly believe in prayer and believe she will be reunited with her family. Are both you and Gail going to continue to work on this case?

Thanks Elaine...five years ago I thought all people that claimed themselves to be psychic were nuts. Thanks for the kind words, but I really believe that I do not have the gift of being psychic...all I do is control and record my dreams...and we all can do this...just takes practice and belief. What Gale and others can do, is totally different...oh, and yes we are.

This may be nothing but I found a couple bits of information that could be linked to the waiter (Batista), it seems there is a worker at the hotel with the same surname who offered the Mcanns childminding services which they turned down, so she would have known that the little girl was alone that night.
Also The owners of the supermarket could be a possible relative to this waiter.

Portuguese police are expected to announce that their trip to the U.K. to re-interview the group of friends dining with missing Madeleine McCann’s parents at the time of her disappearance was not productive, the Daily Mail reported.
Chief Inspector Paulo Rebelo will tell prosecutors no new leads turned up after their recent meeting with the Tapas 7, the newspaper reported.
Madeleine was reported missing May 3 from her bedroom while her family was vacationing in Praia da Luz, Portugal, last year.
Her parents, Kate and Gerry McCann, were considered suspects, and have always maintained they had nothing to do with their daughter's disappearance.
"Kate and Gerry should now be eliminated from the police inquiry," Clarence Mitchell, a spokesman for the McCanns' told the Daily Mail, after learning there was no new evidence.
