Childhood Attention Deficit Disorder

DD4244

This is a cure for Attention Deficit Disorder in children.

1) Build a tree house with you children or do some sort of project that is enjoyable for kids, and the end result gives them a place of their own to play in.  Spend at least 2 hours a week doing such projects.

2) Set specific bedtimes, and stick with it, also says do not allow your children to watch TV 2 hours prior to bedtime.

3) Take fish oil supplements at least 1 time a week.

4) Cut back on all sugar drinks, to include juices (unless 100% juice)

5) Twice a week take something called a pinus plant (will post more when I find out what this is)

6) Take a children's multivitamin everyday.

7) Any form of exercise for at least 20 minutes 3 times a week.

8) Replace white bread with wheat bread.

Brian,

Hi! The pinus element of your eight-steps for aiding ADHD children refers to pine nuts. There are dozens of varieties. I googled edible pinus and found a multitude of information about them. Here is one sample from the Vegetarian fans:

Pine Nuts

These are the seeds of the Stone Pine, a native of the Mediterranean region, but the seeds of various other pines are eaten in various parts of the world including the seeds of the Korean Pine or North American pinon tree. They are very difficult to harvest, hence their cost. They are vital for pesto sauce, and are delicious lightly toasted. They become rancid very easily and should be stored in the fridge or freezer. 100g pine nuts contain 31g protein, the highest of the nuts and seeds.

Perhaps, the 31g of protein help power this step of the way for those children labeld ADHD.

Lastly, I am studying American Indian herbal medicine and will see if I can unearth some helpful information to support this. Take care.

Here is info on the more modern name for Pinus Plant.  There are many herbal products made from various kinds of pine, but only one is being used on ADD.  To find out more, do a search for Pinus and Attention Deficit.  ~ bonnie w ~

Pycnogenol also known as pine bark extract is a powerful antioxidant that may be beneficial for cholesterol levels, atherosclerosis, blood vessel elasticity, collagen repair, inflammation, varicose veins, PMS, menopause, diabetic retinopathy, skin health, circulation, immune function, allergies and A.D.D. (attention deficit disorder). Pycnogenol is a natural plant extract made from the bark of Pinus Maritima and contains proanthocyanidins, powerful compounds that act as antioxidant free-radical scavengers.

Brian,

Pinus plants are pine trees and the like.  Pinus Stobus is the white
pine, for example.  Looks like some part of a pine tree or evergreen
is good for ADD - maybe pine nuts they use in salads??

For more info:
