So they're bringing their cameras, their rosaries, their children and grandchildren to an otherwise quiet church on the outskirts of town.

"To me, personally, it is a miracle. You believe it or don't believe it, that's okay. But I strongly believe it", says Sacramento resident Andre Nguyen.

It is ar the Vietnamese Catholic Martyrs Church, that an outdoor statue of the Virgin Mary appears to be shedding tears of blood. Tears that stream down her face onto her robe, testing the faith of all who come.

"I think that at this time in history, in terms of what's happening in the United States, what's happening in the church, that this is possibly a sign", says Sacramento Resident Brenda Harris.

Parishoners first noticed the tears of blood on Wednesday. But fearing they were put there by pranksters, a priest here wiped the statue clean, only to have those tears return over the weekend.

The church has now contacted the Catholic Diocese in hopes an investigation will be launched. Many are so convinced it's real, they weep.

Ky Truong, who does maintenance at the church says he saw the tears rolling down the statues face around 8:30 Sunday morning. Like most at the church, he sees it as a call for prayer.

CBS 13 tried to contact the Catholic Diocese in Sacramento to determine how cases like these are investigated, but their offices were closed today.

The church is located at 10371 Jackson Road.

November 23rd 2005: Tookie is actually a man on death row in California and is sentences to die on December 13th 2005, and the only person who can save him is California's governor, who is in Sacramento, the same place this church is. This is the dream prediction on Tookie...may be a quincidence, but I think not.. suggest you read this:

NEWS 24TH NOV 2005: Farrakhan To Ask Governor to Pardon Gang Founder

(KCBS) - Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan plans to ask the governor to pardon Stanley "Tookie" Williams, the founder of the Crips gang who is now appealing a 1981 death sentence.

Farrakhan made the announcement following a visit to Williams at San Quentin on Sunday. Williams, who was convicted for the killing of four people during two robbery murders, has since tried to encourage gang members around the country to lay down their weapons and reconcile.

His anti-gang writings from prison have led to several nominations for the Nobel peace prize.

"I feel that a man like Stan Tookie Williams, whose life has been redeemed, does not need to be in a prison cell with the madness of gang warfare," minister Farrakhan told KCBS reporter Henry Mulak outside San Quentin.

Williams has exhausted almost all of his options for appealing the death sentence. Only a review by the Supreme Court remains.

Williams has argued that the jury that convicted him was racially biased.

The arrival of Farrakhan at San Quentin was not greeted with enthusiasm by some prison guards. An attorney for the guards' union sent an angry letter to the department of corrections saying that a controversial figure such as Farrakhan should not be allowed to address inmates.

That letter made reference to anti-Semitic remarks made by the minister.

Recently Farrakhan has focused his public ministry on ending street violence.

Approximately 300 inmates were allowed to attend an afternoon talk by Farrakhan following his meeting with Williams in the morning.
