If you live in the state of Florida, I suggest now would be the time to leave, take your pets with you.  Not sure how long this is going to last, but will will be able to come back.  Bird flu is now in the state, as hundreds of birds have now died in a place called Corkscrew...this is the third dream I have had about this same location and event now, and I feel very confident when saying, please leave the state.   I also want to stress that this event will not just affect birds, all animals that eat birds will be affected as well.

Brian, saw your note and remember reading about this place.  Did a little research and this popped up:
http://sofia.usgs.gov/virtual_tour/corkscrew/index.html
It's a wildlife bird sanctuary.
Just thought you might be interested.  Hope you are feeling better.

Deadly bird flu strain found in cat in Germany
By David Rising, Germany
Published: 28 February 2006
The H5N1 strain of bird flu was confirmed today in a cat in Germany, the first time it has been positively identified in a mammal in Europe, the World Health Organization said.

The cat was found dead over the weekend on the Baltic Sea island of Ruegen, where most of Germany's more-than 100 cases of H5N1-infected wild birds have been found, said Thomas Mettenleiter, leader of the Friedrich Loeffler institute lab.

Maria Cheng, a WHO spokeswoman in Geneva, said it was the first time she knows of that an animal other than a bird has been infected in Europe. She noted that tigers and leopards were infected by H5N1 in Thailand, where they were fed on chicken carcasses in a zoo.

In addition, bird flu infections were confirmed in January in humans in the Asian part of Turkey. Twenty-one people in the country tested positive for the H5N1 strain. Four of those victims, all children, died.

It is not clear whether cats can pass the disease to humans, Cheng said.

"We know that mammals can be infected by H5N1, but we don't know what this means for humans."

Scientists are concerned that H5N1 could mutate into a form that is transmitted easily among humans, which could lead to a pandemic.

Mettenleiter said there are no known cases of the virus moving from cats to humans, but nonetheless cautioned pet owners on Ruegen to keep their cats inside for the time being.

"An infection of humans, which theoretically cannot be ruled out, could probably only occur with very intimate contact to infected animals," Mettenleiter said.

In addition to the large cats infected in Thailand, three house cats were found to be infected with the virus in February 2004 outside Bangkok. In that case, officials said one cat had eaten a dead chicken on a farm where there was a bird flu outbreak and it appeared to have spread to the others.

Also today in Germany the H5N1 strain of the bird flu virus was detected in wild birds in Bavaria, making it the fifth German state to report cases.

The Friedrich Loeffler institute determined that two wild birds found in the southern state tested positive for the strain, the state said.

The first cases of H5N1 were found on Ruegen in mid-February.

Thanks, just found out myself, if checked, I think dead birds will be found there, if they haven't already.  And if they have, why not a notice?

Hi,
In Germany a cat died of H5N1.
I think it is related to your dream but not in the US. The reason for it is threefold.
Let me first explain what I do as a hobby; I collect and try to interpret predictions and prophecies in the broadest sense. When asked, I tell people I study the works of nostradamus. So far it has given me the tools to work with symbols, similar to explaining dreams in a regular way. The only difference is that I actually work these symbols through news which makes me some sort of a news junky.
Now for the three parts I'd like share with you.
First: The whole bird fly thing isn't that scary for humans when one comes in contact with it. What makes it scary is that two virusses can meet and mutate in an animal or person.
Secondly: the bird flu is migrating up and down the northern hemisphere with the seasons. Birds fly from afrika to northern Europe and vice versa with the seasons. Still not scary on itself.
Thirdly: Afrika is infested with AIDS and there is a flu epidemic going on in northern Europe.
Kind regards,
Michael Cornelissen

 Brian,
If you are right.... do you think it is wise to suggest that thousands of possibly infected people should leave the state and spread the disease?
Thanks,
Robert

reply

Hi, I do not think people are infected yet, so yes.

Fatal Bird Flu Infections in Greyhounds in Florida?

Recombinomics Commentary
February 25, 2005

>> The dog had been sick with a respiratory disease, state officials with the Division of Pari-Mutuel Wagering said earlier this week.

Another greyhound died Monday and the first animal died Feb. 15, after a quarantine at the Daytona Beach facility, Francati said. Meg Shannon, a spokeswoman with Pari-Mutuel Wagering in Tallahassee, said all three animals had a respiratory illness.

A veterinarian at the University of Florida said she drew samples from the sick dogs in Daytona Beach and believed they could be suffering from influenza. <<

The deaths of the greyhounds in Florida sound very similar to greyhound deaths last season.  The deaths then also suspended dog racing and the deaths were due to H3N8 bird flu.  In the past H3N8 has also been found in horses, but last year's finding of H3N8 in dogs was the first time bird flu had been isolated in canines.

Testing will soon determine if H3N8 infections are again causing fatalities in dogs in Florida.
