I have a black cat about 8 yrs old, a Blue Great Dane who is also about 8 yrs old, and a Chocolate Lab who is about 9 months old now. Both older animals are pretty lazy by now, but their habits have changed kinda overnight. (It's been a bit more than a week, I'd say)

My Dane doesn't want to eat these days, and my cat is making these humming noises, not to be confused with purring...they are almost a long sigh with an ahhhh sound, I don't know what to make of it. She is also ,...it seems like she is crying. You know how a child will cry so hard that they have a difficult time catching their breath...sorta like that.

It seems like they are sick, but nothing has been reason enough for me to take them to a vet...I can get them both to eat,....the Dane isn't much interested though.

Both dogs have been waking me up in strange ways, and anxiously to get outside, because the coyotes around here have been close, and pretty loud these days too. I consider the fact that it is spring though...so I guess I have paid attention to the changes, but rationalize them to be something either caused from the planetary movements, earth changes etc..or maybe just plain not feeling like doing/eating much today.

I don't know if when I use this reply, it also copies your text I'm replying to, or not, so I;ll just refer to the 2 dogs, dane, and lab, and the cat....

For several days now...my pets have been acting weird. My German Shorthaired Pointer in particular. He wont leave my side, he whimpers and whines constantly, although nothing is really wrong with him. He refuses to come in when told outside, and I have to physically bring him in to get him back in the house. Please keep in mind this is an indoor dog. He is a hunter, but he lives in the house, and refuses to be outside alone.

I know that I have told you of weird behavior of my dog already...but...today something even more weird happened. Let me mention prior to saying what I am going to say that my dog is a chicken. He doesnt bite, but barks alot, yet is the most wimpy dog in the world. Today, in trying to get him to come in, he didnt want to come in the house. Now, it is a beautiful day outside, so I suppose that it could just be that, but every time that I came near him he growled and ran away. (He NEVER growls at me...NEVER!) Well, in an attempt to get him in, as the neighbor is cutting down a tree, and he was barking at him, I grasped his leg to stop him from running again so that I could get him in. (now keep in mind, I said that he never bites!!!! you could pound on this dog while playing, and deserve to be bitten, and he would grab you so gently with his mouth that you wouldnt really know that he was grabbing you other than the placement of your arm.) He not only growled, but acted like he was in a dog fight and bite my arm. Luckily I was wearing a thick sweatshirt, or he wouldve left a nasty bite mark. Again, this is very very unlike my dog. I did get him in the house, by grabbing his collar and telling him that he was a bad bad boy (tail tucking and all). I guess I should ask...do you think that your counting down dreams have something to do with the strange behavior that my pooch is exhibiting?
