DD4358Brian;Perhaps your dream refers to the methane gas that could be released through the oceans if global warming continues and the ocean floor temperatures increase just slightly.  This increase in temperature will cause the release of massive amounts of methane gas which is currently in frozen form under the ocean floor.    The methane will attach itself to the oxygen in the atmosphere and basically could suffocate the planet.  This occurred once before just prior to the the era that gave rise to the dinosaurs.  95% of all species on the earth went extinct in a very short time due to massive methane releases caused by volcanic activity that warmed the atmosphere, melted the polar caps and warmed the oceans.  Cheerful news eh? Cathie
