L’enfant, originaire du Guatemala, jouait dans la cour de la ferme quand il a marché sur un puits désaffecté, dont l’accès était fermé par une planche en aggloméré. La planche a cédé sous le poids et le petit garçon a fait une chute de 11 mètres. Transporté par les pompiers à l’hôpital de Semur-en-Auxois (Côte-d’Or), le garçonnet a subi des radios qui n’ont pas décelé de blessure. Selon les gendarmes, ce miracle est sans doute dû au fait qu’il restait une quarantaine de centimètres d’eau stagnante au fond du puits, qui aurait amorti la chute de l’enfant.
