I’m a bit worried about this one – is this a warning for you, that the PJ are looking out for you to arrive at Lisbon airport, if they are reading your website & know that you will be going very soon? The PJ may think you are interfering in the investigation down there. They may not see it that you are trying to help.

Brian there is no one there to protect you. I have tried asking the UK police to be there for you & if they have not made contact with you, they are ignoring the fact that you are going.

How are you going to get through you searching places like peoples basements etc. You may pss a lot of people off with your determination. I know how you feel, I feel the same. I want Madeleine to be found. Now! And I know the power of a kind caring soul, with protecting something close to your heart & feeling you have to do your duty.

I don’t want anything happening to you down there. You are too valuable to your wife & children & to all the people that you help in your specialised work all over the world, to risk being in any danger. We need you.

I don’t think all of the PJ are corrupt, but I don’t want to see any photos of you like the woman that ended up with a black & blue face! That face haunts me. And proves how things can be swayed the way the PJ want it to go, without a thought for an innocent person.

I’ve lived amongst hundreds of Portuguese people for 23yrs & from what I know they are generally very friendly, warm, quiet, easy going, family orientated people & I personally have always got along with them here. But there are a lot of corrupt high ranking people in Portugal that have been involved in the Casa Pia case, etc, which I don’t think has truly been brought to the surface. It should be! But this should really only be dealt with by experts that know how to deal with this sort of thing.

It probably would have been better to go Portugal without saying so & move around discretely, but now that it is out in the open that you are going, it may be safer to alert the media that you are going – it could be the only protection for you.

I am sorry if I upset any readers/writers, as it seems that I am the only one that does not agree to you going to Portugal alone.
