Daily Mail headline; says: 'The parents of missing Madeleine McCann are the victims of a "witch-hunt" and there is no evidence to suggest they murdered their daughter, Britain's former top police officer said today. Former Metropolitan Police chief Lord Stevens made his comments in the British press as a Portuguese investigation revealed it could have taken eight minutes to snatch four-year-old Madeleine - and just three minutes to hide her body.

In an article for the News of the World, former Metropolitan Police chief Lord Stevens said there was no hard evidence because of the "sheer inadequacy" of the Portuguese police investigation.

He writes: "There's absolutely no chance that the parents of Madeleine McCann would be charged with her murder in this country. It would be an outrageous miscarriage of justice if they were. I've been a detective at the most senior level for 30 years and have never seen such a witch-hunt, or one based on such flimsy evidence."

He said Portuguese police should have immediately treated the McCanns as the prime suspects, adding: "That police error has become their tragedy now, because if they had been properly investigated back then they may well have been cleared."

He believed abduction was the most likely possibility.

Hi, I think this dream was about the McCann's and still might happen, despite what's reported in the news.

If the PJ are involved, reports like this might anger them further...either way, I hope it's not validated.

arrested – look at the word, it looks more like asserted. See how Brian make his r in are and for and murder, it look more like n’s.  The word definitely begins with Asser—d. The word assert means to use firmness or authority.  In the week of 17 March 2008 the McCann’s was awarded ₤500 000 by the court. Two newspapers were forced to say they are sorry to the McCann’s for accusing them of murdering their daughter.
