Amber Alert Issued for 5-Year-Old Alabama Boy; Cops Say Child Could Be in Danger

Monday, December 04, 2006

ALBERTVILLE, Ala. —  A search continues for a vehicle after a man stole a car in which a five-year-old boy was seated.

Alabama State Troopers and Albertville Police issued the Amber Alert for Geontae Glass, who was in a light blue 1994 Nissan Altima with no tag when it was stolen this morning in front of a convenience store on Baltimore Avenue.

The car was last seen traveling south on Alabama 205.

Police said the child's mother was in the store when a pickup truck drove up, a man got out and stole the car. The driver of the pickup also fled the scene.

Authorities said the child, who is black, is considered to be in extreme danger. The youngster weighs about 65 pounds and is approximately three feet tall and was wearing blue jeans and a long-sleeve blue T-shirt.

Troopers urged anyone with information to call the Albertville Police Department at 256-878-1212 or the Department of Public Safety at 334-242-4128; or your local police department.

CASE # 218: Geontae Glass (12.4.2006)(LOCATED)

This RV was not correct.

"man hate, anger, road sign with rip" I think this is the man that took Geontae.

"amber alert cancelled, Geontae is safe, police stop blue car, 911 call saves boys life"

Hi Sarah,

I'm not sure, I have not been doing this long enough to give you an honest answer...and I'm so sorry Geontae was not found alive.
